About Balancer (BAL)
Balancer is a Defi protocol compatible with AMM and DEX nature, and at the same time issued a platform token BAL. Balancer is committed to providing more liquidity for the Defi market, while creating a digital asset index fund for users.
BAL tokens were issued for the first time on June 23, 2020, with an issuance price of approximately US$0.6 and a total planned circulation of 96.15 million. The current circulation of BAL is about 42.67 million pieces, and the current price is 3.65 US dollars, which is about 600% higher than the sale price. The total market value is about 155 million US dollars, and the FDV is about 849 million US dollars. A total of 46,385 addresses currently hold BAL on the chain, of which TOP100 holds 93.4%, and the distribution is concentrated.
Balancer's pioneering contribution is to allow users to hold a basket of tokens and form a liquidity pool like an index fund. This fund pool can be used for decentralized transactions. At the same time, it can also be an automatic market maker that provides liquidity. At this time, the provider needs to set the exchange transaction rate of each currency and obtain token incentives during the transaction. That is, liquidity mining. Real-time display of each pool's liquidity, price slippage, and transaction fee rate also makes transactions on Balancer more straightforward.
Balancer was created by Fernando Martinelli in August 2019. The current transactions on Balancer are mainly platform currency BAL, stable currency, and Defi token transactions. Since its development, Balancer's financial vulnerabilities have been continuously concerned, and there have been many incidents of arbitrage.
