About Stellar (XLM)

Stellar is an open-source blockchain network designed for fast, low-cost cross-border payments and asset tokenization. It uses the Stellar Consensus Protocol (SCP), a Federated Byzantine Agreement mechanism that does not require mining. XLM (Lumens) is the native token used for transaction fees, bridging currency in cross-asset payments, and anti-spam measures, with an initial supply of 50 billion tokens.
